The first half of session was taken by Inada Sensei and focused mainly on partner work exercises which moved onto kihon ippon kumite training, changing partners and repeating the same sequence, the second half of the class was taken by Okamoto Sensei and focused on katas, Junro Shodan, Junro Nidan, Heian Yondan, Heian Godan, Tekkis Shodan and Tekki Nidan.

Session 6 Monday 3rd December 2012 7:00pm
This was an absolutely fantastic training class, lots of different combinations put into reps of 20/30's at a time, highlight of the class was the end interval training, with no interval!!!! Then the end of the class was focused on Bassai Dai.
Session 5 Sunday 2nd December 2012 9.30am - 12 noon
Session 5 Sunday 2nd December 9:30am - 12noon 2nd day of the international seminar.
This session focused on stance work, Zenkutsu Dachi, Kokutsu Dachi, Kiba Dachi, Sanchin Dachi, Neko Ashi Dachi, Fudo Dachi. Kagawa Sensei explained the weight distribution of each stance and the correct leg position for each.
The class then focused on kata Meikyo Nidan with each group doing it several times finishing by doing it at full speed.
Following the seminars the international Dan gradings took place.
Session 4 Saturday 1st December 2012 2pm - 5pm
Saturday 1st December 2-5pm 1st day of the international seminar.
This was the 1st day of the annual international seminar and was attended this year by 21 countries. Kagawa Sensei was at the best i have ever seen him, his karate is truly awsome. The session started with repititions of block counter combinations followed by the same but this time with kicks.
The focus then switched to Kata and the standardising of all 15 shotokan kata followed by Kakyioku Sandan.
Session 3 - Friday 30th November 2012 7pm
One of the best classes i have ever done at the Honbu Dojo tonight with Makita Sensei, a lot of kiba dachi exercises followed by Tekki Shodan and Gojushiho sho, finished the class with kihon ippon training.

Session 2 - Friday 30th November 2012 10:30am
Second session was again taught with Kanayama Sensei, a few squat exercises to start the class then moved on to ido kihon combinations and finished the class with Bassai Dai. Great class again
Session 1 - Thursday 29th November 2012
Arrived in Japan round 12 noon on Thursday 29th November, travelled form Narita to Tokyo on the NEX and arrived at the Homikan around 1pm. After a small sleep we headed eagerly to the Honbu Dojo for the evening session at 7pm. The class was taught by Kanayama Sensei and what a fantastic class it really was. Love training with this guy, fantastic.
